Is it OK to eat Chicken Tikka Masala on a Keto Diet?
Because of the ingredients, the classic chicken tikka masala that I published a year ago has a lot of carbohydrates and is eaten over white rice or naan bread. On the keto diet, this is a no-no!
But the chicken tikka masala low carb dish I’m presenting today is completely keto-friendly, with just 5 grams of net carbohydrates.
Can I use boneless chicken thighs in this recipe?
Yes, boneless skinless chicken thighs may be substituted for chicken breasts in this recipe; however, be sure to remove any extra fat from the thighs before using them.
However, if you fear that using chicken breasts would cause the chicken to dry out and become rubbery, trust me when I say that this is not the case; the chicken pieces will be soft and juicy on the inside, and you will enjoy it. (I’ve previously attempted this)
How Do You Make This Slow Cooker Low Carb Chicken Tikka Masala?
- In a large mixing basin, combine all of the marinade ingredients and stir well to incorporate.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight after adding the chicken pieces and mixing until thoroughly coated.

- Add the coconut cream once it’s finished cooking and whisk to mix until the sauce becomes orange.
- Done! Serve immediately over a bed of cauliflower rice, garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
What Should You Serve With This Low-Carb Chicken Tikka Masala?
This meal is so good that I could eat it without any rice or bread, but it’s even better with keto naan bread, cauliflower rice, and roasted veggies. broccoli and spinach
