- 2 chopped medium onions
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 2 jalapeo peppers, sliced
- 2 tblsp. crushed red pepper
- a third of a cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon spices for pickling

Fill the big jar halfway with peeled hard boiled eggs.

Combine the remaining ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil for 5 minutes.

Pour the contents of the container over the eggs. Cover and set aside on the counter overnight.
To add a beautiful color and additional depth of taste, add some beet juice or sliced beets. Turmeric may be added for a different color. Depending on the additional spices, colors vary from green-yellow to heated orange-yellow.
