8 quarts water | ||
1/2 cabbage head, sliced into bite-size pieces | ||
2 tblsp. fish sauce | ||
a quarter teaspoon of salt | ||
sugar (half a spoonful) | ||
black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon | ||
1/2 cup green onion and cilantro, chopped |
Soup recipe with oxtails and cabbage
- In a large soup pot, combine the oxtail, onion, and water; simmer over high heat until the water boils.
- Simmer until oxtail is cooked in a covered soup pot with a lid (approx 2 hours).
- Removed the cover, stirred in the cabbage, raised the heating temperature to high, and cooked until the soup was boiling.
- Fish sauce, salt, sugar, and black pepper are used to season the dish.
- Green onion and cilantro go on top.
Serve immediately with rice.
