  2. Over a double boiler, whisk until the mixture is just heated.
  3. Remove from the heat and whisk until the mixture is pale and frothy.
  4. Combine the sifted flour and cocoa powder in a mixing bowl.
  5. Mix in the melted butter and warm milk until everything is well mixed.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
  7. Allow it cool fully before cutting out your chosen form. I used cookie cutters that were 3.5 inches in diameter.

Icing made with cream cheese:

  1. Cream the cream cheese until it is light and frothy.
  2. Beat in the vanilla and sugar until they’re fully combined.
  3. Using a spatula, fold in the beaten heavy cream until it is completely mixed.
