Stir-fried Cambodian delicacy Rice Pin Noodles with Pig is a simple and fast dish that may be made with egg, shrimp, chicken, or pork. It’s often smothered in sweet, salty, and greasy sauces.
Ingredients
8 oz (230 g) seafood, pork, or fowl (You can use egg) | ||
2 rice pin noodle packages | ||
3 garlic cloves, minced | ||
4 tablespoons soy sauce for seasoning | ||
2 to 3 tablespoons soy sauce (thick) for a deeper hue (dragon brand) | ||
Yoshida sauce, 2 tablespoons (in Cambodia no Yoshida sauce) | ||
2 chopped green onions as a garnish | ||
1 cup bean sprouts to serve as a garnish | ||
1/2 teaspoon black pepper (or less) is entirely up to you. | ||
3 tblsp. oil for stir-frying |
Set aside a dish containing soy sauce, thick soy, and yoshida.
Step-by-step instructions for making Cambodian stir-fry Pork and Rice Pin Noodles
- Boil 6 cups water in a large pot, then add the noodle and cook for 1 to 2 minutes to soften (the noodle is fresh, but it has been in the refrigerator for too long, so you need to soften it before stir fry), drain under cold water and attempt to break it apart, then put aside until ready to cook.
- Stir cook garlic till golden in a hot pan.
- Stir in the meat or shrimp until they are no longer pink.
- Stir in the noodle stir fry until it is heated.
- Stir in the sauce until the noodle is heated and the meat is cooked.
- Turn off the heat after adding the green onion and bean sprouts.
