What exactly are liquid amino acids?
Liquid aminos are a cooking seasonings that are used as an alternative to soy sauce. They look and taste similar. They are most often made by fermenting coconut sap with salt and water with an acidic solution to break them down into free amino acids. They add a savory, salty flavor to meals and are naturally vegan and gluten-free. Coconut Aminos are a great, healthy and soy-free version of soy sauce. For our Asparagus and Mushroom Stir Fry, we’ll need the following ingredients:
- Chicken that has been ground
- Asparagus
- Mushrooms
- Rice with Cauliflower
- Ginger
- Liquid Aminos
- Sriracha
To prepare our Asparagus and Mushroom Stir Fry, follow these steps:
To begin, dice all of the veggies so that they are ready to cook. In a small mixing bowl, combine 2/3 cup water, 1 tablespoon ginger powder, 1 tbsp. sriracha sauce, and 4 tbsp liquid amino acids. Remove from the equation.
Cook ground chicken in a large pan over medium-high heat. After 8 minutes of cooking, gently pour in the bag of frozen riced cauliflower. Stir for 3 minutes, or until gently heated through and thoroughly mixed. Return the pan to the heat after emptying the cauliflower chicken mixture into a bowl.
In the same skillet, mix in the diced asparagus, mushrooms, and green onions. Add the ginger mixture to the skillet, stir, and cook for 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are crisp.
Return the chicken mixture to the pan and cook for another 3 minutes over medium-high heat. Serve and have fun!
Tips:
Make sure you use a big skillet! It will make preparing meals and combining ingredients a breeze!
You may simply substitute ground turkey, pig, or beef for the ground chicken.
If you don’t have liquid aminos on hand, use soy sauce instead! It’ll still be delicious!
