Asian Wing Sauce | Finally A Keto Friendly Version!

Alma Bax 5 min read

Asian Wing Sauce is a condiment that I personally love, I used it when I was cooking up traditional low carb keto meals. However, I soon realized once I was using it for my own cooking, that I couldn’t find a high quality version of it, which is why I decided to take action.

Keto is a popular diet plan that promotes healthy eating and aims to get users to eat less carbs and more fat and protein. There are many ways to implement this diet. One popular way is to use Asian wing sauce or any other sauces with high fat content. The aim is to eat high fat meals with sauces, rather than the traditional low fat meals with sauces.

You are probably thinking, “hey why not?!” if you are someone who has been trying to find a keto friendly  Asian  Wing Sauce or Seasoning. The reason why I wrote this post instead of making a keto friendly Soy Sauce is because it’s just not that hard to make and there are so many keto friendly Asian sauces out there. You can do all this in your kitchen with just a few ingredients.. Read more about keto wing flavors and let us know what you think.

Sugar-free wing sauce with Asian flavors!

Asian wing sauce has always been a favorite of mine. To be honest, I don’t think I’d miss the Buffalo sauce. All I need for Asian-style chicken wings is a spicy, salty, and slightly sweet sauce. The issue is that there aren’t many keto-friendly choices in supermarkets. Buffalo sauce is simple to come by, but every time I search for an Asian sauce, it’s loaded with sugar, honey, hoisin, or soy sauce. After returning home disappointed and empty-handed after numerous visits, I decided to create my own Asian chicken wing sauce!

Ingredients

Although the ingredient list is lengthy, nearly every item is essential! You can leave off the chilli if you can’t take the heat, but the remainder of the dish will still be delicious.

Finely chop all of the ingredients listed above. When it comes to ginger, I freeze it before grating it using a cheese grater. I thought it was strange at first, but it produces a really finely ground ginger. All of my ginger is now kept in the refrigerator.

Set it and forget it.

To a point, the longer the sauce simmer, the better it is. I like to cook the meal for at least 15 minutes, but typically more than 30 minutes. This enables all of the spices to release their fragrance into the sauce as they unfurl. In the recipe instructions below, I go through the cooking procedure in great depth.

Wing

Check out our recipe for the crispiest wings you’ve ever eaten if you’re still searching for a decent wing recipe (I understand your pain). They’re the ideal vessel for this incredible sauce. I suggest putting the sauce on after the wings have been cooked. This ensures that you get the most crunch possible!

With all the new keto-friendly foods hitting the market, there’s nothing particularly interesting about a new version of Asian Wing Sauce. But in case you’re curious, here’s a brief summary of what the original version tastes like: It starts with a soy sauce base, which is then blended with a variety of spices like garlic, ginger, chili, and sesame seeds. The mixture is then poured into molds and allowed to sit for a few hours before being removed. After the mixture is removed, it can be used like any other type of wing sauce..
