I am loving the Thermomix. I was a little apprehensive when I first got it, as I had never used anything electric in the kitchen before. So, I did a lot of research on what was the best for the job, and I have to say, I am very impressed. It takes the work out of whipping up my favorite cream, meringue or even my favorite pesto sauce. The Thermomix is still a work in progress, and has a lot of room for improvement, but I am very pleased with it.
This past weekend I made some whipped cream that I had been wanting to try. You can find the recipe for the cream on my blog at: http://tintorera.co.uk/2014/05/whipping-cream-thermomix/ After making the cream and eating some I found it to be very yummy!
If you’ve been a fan of this forum for a while, you’ll know that the Thermomix has quickly become one of my most used kitchen appliances. It’s certainly a bit of a beast to operate, but it really is a wonderful machine. In this post, I’ll show you a simple way to make whipped cream in the Thermomix, and how it has transformed the way I make desserts and other foods.
If you follow these instructions, whipping cream from scratch in the Thermomix is simple. When you can make freshly whipped cream in under 3-4 minutes, you’ll never purchase store-bought whipped cream again.
Freshly whipped cream is a luxurious and delectable addition to a variety of sweets, including Pavlova, my Chocolate Pear Pudding, Lemon Delicious, Apple Crumble, and almost any other dessert.
You can make excellent Thermomix Whipped Cream every time if you follow these guidelines.
Whipped Cream Recipes in the Thermomix
- Whip the cold cream right out of the fridge. If it’s a hot day, cool the Thermomix bowl for 10 minutes before using it. This will aid in the speeding up of the procedure.
- Instead of light cream, use full fat whipping cream. You could always add a little honey, vanilla essence, or icing sugar to make it sweeter.
- Always start with the Butterfly attachment and never mix faster than speed 3.
- It’s not a good idea to combine more than 600g cream at a time.
- Through the lid, keep a close eye on it. It thickens fast once it begins to thicken, and you don’t want to wind up with butter and buttermilk! Freshness and amount influence the timing. After approximately 20 seconds, I always watch it. The sound of the blades whirling will alter as it thickens.
It took me a few tries to get the whipped cream perfect the first time I used the Thermomix. Stop, open the lid, and mix for additional 3+ second increments if you’re not sure about the thickness. Best wishes!
Did you know that cream can be turned into butter?
It’s simpler than you think to make your own butter from scratch. See how to create butter in the Thermomix in my recipe.

It is not clear what the new Thermomix is all about. The official website states that it is a powerful machine that makes everything possible, but that it is a “new generation” of the classic Thermomix, with a few modern and future-oriented innovations. The only thing we can be sure about is that it is a Thermomix and there are several European components. The main question is: what is the new Thermomix and how does it differ from the classic? We have recently tested a Thermomix 8, so let us check out what is new in the new Thermomix 8…. Read more about chantilly cream thermomix and let us know what you think.
