I am a 40 year old mother of 2 who has wanted to get in shape and lose weight for the last 10 years.  The problem was that I had tried every diet possible, and not been able to stick with it. On Instagram, we had a discussion with New York Times bestselling author E.K. Blair. We were captivated by her remarkable weight reduction with Keto! She is a genius at capturing us with her writings! We reached out to her to learn more about her 95-pound weight loss.

How long have you been following the ketogenic eating plan?

I’ve been doing keto for little over a year and haven’t had a single cheat meal! Yes, I realized I didn’t want to and still don’t want to cheat. But that’s one of the things I enjoy about keto. There’s a keto version of every junk item I want!

What makes the diet so simple to include into your daily routine?

The keto diet may be followed anywhere! Restaurants (including fast food), petrol stations, and gatherings are just a few examples. There’s no need to feel excluded, and the options are limitless! It isn’t too restricted, which makes it long-term viable.

Have you run across any roadblocks on your path to keto?

My issue is with ribs. I’ve dropped 95 pounds so far, but there have been some hiccups along the road. It’s a mental game, and I have to remind myself that the keto diet is a way of life, not just a diet. But I’ve figured out a few ways to get rid of that annoying congestion, one of which is egg fasting. It is always effective.

What do you consider to be your best accomplishment?

You may assume that dropping 95 pounds is my greatest achievement, but it’s really decreasing my cholesterol and curing my type 2 diabetes! I haven’t used any drugs in a long time! There will be no more pills. There will be no more injections. There is no better accomplishment than adding years to one’s life!

Favorite ketones recipe or ketones-friendly product?

Cake in a cup is my favorite! This is my favorite meal to prepare:

KETO CHOCOLATE CAKE

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 egg
  • baking powder (1/2 teaspoon)
  • 1 teaspoon of sweetness (I like monk fruit)
  • 3 Esslöffel Mandelmehl Esslöffel Mandelmehl Esslöffel Mandelmehl
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate powder, unsweetened

In a microwave-safe cup, combine all ingredients and cook for 90 seconds.

Do you have any tips for other keto dieters?

Patience and faith in the process are essential. Everyone loses weight at a different pace, and everyone’s journey to health is distinct. When you become lost, give yourself a break. It happens, so go back to preparing your next dinner!
