If you have a dehydrator, you already know that brussels sprouts are super healthy, and they make the perfect side dish! It’s always nice to have a fresh green vegetable on hand, and that’s where these sprouts come in. A quick and easy side dish, that’s perfect for a special dinner or potluck.
Brussels sprouts are one of those vegetables that you can either love or hate. I personally love them, but I find them a little daunting. Most recipes for them call for roasting or steaming them, which I find quite boring. This recipe suggests frying them, which I find is the best method. And I like the idea of dipping them in different sauces.

I’m constantly on the lookout for a tasty snack to savor while watching a movie or TV marathon or working, but I don’t want it to ruin my meal plan. Brussels Sprouts with a Crispy Crunch are just what I was hoping for, and they go well with our simple curry and whipped ricotta dipping sauces!
Crispy Brussels Sprouts Recipe
The thing about brussels sprouts is that they are prone to burning if overlooked even by a couple minutes. For that reason alone, making crispy brussels sprouts requires a little more attention than roasting other vegetables. As long as you coat them throughly in fat that can be heated to high temps without burning, such as avocado oil, animal fat or coconut oil, flip them half way through and keep an eye on them as they start to brown you’ll always have a delicious, crispy dipping vessel! Allowing them to cool slightly before serving will also make them a little more crispier.
Low-carb side dishes that we love
I’ve been eating a lot of brussels sprouts recently. They’re satisfying and crispy, and they’re perfect in stir fries, casseroles, or as a side dish to a juicy steak! Our mashed cauliflower and gravy, low carb onion rings, and zucchini fries are all excellent low carb side dishes.
