To make the green masala, combine the following ingredients in a bowl.

  • chicken, 500 gms
  • Tomato puree, 1/4 cup
  • green masala (1/2 cup)
  • 3 tbsp salt (to taste)
  • cumin-coriander powder, 2 tbsp
  • turmeric powder (1/2 tbsp)
  • 2 tbsp garam masala (garam masala)
  • 1 tbsp powdered pepper
  • 2 quarts rice
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • lemon juice, 2 tbsp
  • 3 quarts liquid
