Pour it over ice in a glass and take a sip (not a gulp!) It’s delectable. The color is stunning. A bottle of this would be a fantastic hostess present!

This Apple Pie Moonshine is easy to drink. Fill an old fashioned glass with crushed ice and serve!
Ingredients
- 2 gallons apple cider (or 1.5 gallons cider plus.5 gallons apple juice)
- 1 cup sugar (granulated)
- 1 cup sugar, dark brown
- 8 sticks of cinnamon
- 1 tblsp. cloves (ground)
- 1 bottle Everclear (750 mL)
- 1 bottle of Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum (750 mL)
Note
Served over crushed ice, this Apple Pie Moonshine is wonderful. Enjoy!
Directions
Step 1 | |
Bring the cider to a gentle boil. | |

Combine the sugars and cinnamon sticks in a bowl. Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower to medium and simmer for an hour, stirring periodically. | |

-Remove from the fire and stir in the ground cloves. | |

Allow the mixture to cool until it reaches room temperature. Combine Everclear and rum in a mixing glass. Stir everything together well. | |

Fill bottles with the mixture (along with the cinnamon sticks). If desired, you may add more cinnamon sticks to the bottles. |
