There are many different types of cinnamon rolls. Some have a sweeter taste, some are savory and some are filled with chocolate. The Valentine cinnamon roll is a kind of cinnamon roll that is prepared with vanilla icing and a special ingredient that makes the cinnamon rolls sweeter.
Today is Valentine’s Day, which means it’s time for a sweet treat. These cinnamon rolls have a light, fluffy and tender texture, and are topped with a sour cream and whipped cream, and sweetened with cinnamon and sugar. This recipe is great for breakfast, brunch, or even dinner, since it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and if you are like most people, you’re probably in the mood for something sweet. Few things are as sweet as a traditional cinnamon roll, and if you’re like me, you enjoy cooking them from scratch, instead of just buying them. Luckily, I know how to make them, but they can be a bit time consuming!
Make an adorable display of affection for your small and large loved ones by turning something basic that you use all the time into an appealing show of devotion. Our Valentine Cinnamon Rolls are delightful and simple to prepare. Make your kids happy first thing in the morning with these adorable tiny hearts that just take 5 minutes to make!
I had a girlfriend create these really beautiful Christmas trees out of cinnamon rolls during the holidays. They were a hit with the kids, and they were such a simple concept. I decided to try my hand at the same idea, but this time for Valentine’s Day, I chose to create tiny hearts for the kids. I’ve made these on a regular Tuesday morning because they make my kids happy, but I particularly like creating them for Valentine’s Day to make the day more special!
Cinnabon uses what type of cinnamon?
To begin with, two distinct kinds of Laurel trees, Cinnamomum Cassia and Cinnamomum Ceylon, provide the two most popular types of cinnamon, Cassia and Ceylon. Cinnabon’s spice basis for its buns is Cassia, which is redder and more pungent. This is one of the most important elements in their delectable flavor!
Ingredients for our Cinnamon Rolls for Valentine’s Day:
How to make our Cinnamon Rolls for Valentine’s Day:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Separate the cinnamon rolls from the cinnamon roll can. Unroll them one by one into a straight line.
Take the two ends in each hand and roll them inwards towards the center.
To make a heart shape, pinch the ends together and manipulate them gently. There’s no need to use toothpicks to hold the top together since they’ll keep their form in the oven. (I tried this and it didn’t make a difference, plus it was a hassle to get the tooth pick out without destroying the heart after it had baked!)
Bake for 8-10 minutes after that. Remove the pan from the heat and set it aside to cool for 5 minutes.
Drop a tiny drop of red food color into the icing and mix as it cools. Continue to add food color until you get the desired level of cool. Always keep in mind that a little goes a long way! I add one drop and thoroughly mix it up. We wanted a pale pink, and we got it with only one drop.
Finally, ice the cinnamon buns and sprinkle with sprinkles. Allow 5 minutes for the cinnamon rolls to cool before icing to melt straight down the edges. (Now is a perfect opportunity to use all those red sprinkles left over from Christmas!)
This is a nice concept that may be used for a variety of situations. I make these Valentine Cinnamon Rolls and call them a “lovey” when my kid is worried about an exam the following day. I whip them up quickly when my kid is upset because her buddy is going away. It may not seem to be much, but they represent a little part of both of my children’s love languages. It appeals to my heart as well, since it is meaningful without being complicated or time-consuming. Give them a try; I’m certain your kids will like them!
