I’m at the point in my cooking adventures that I’m starting to realize how much I love making my own spice blends. I’ve been a bit stuck in a rut making the same things over and over again, and I’m never sure how much to season a dish with. So, I thought I’d make a spice blend to make things a little easier on myself. I’m not sure how it will stack up to my other spice blends, but I’m going to give it a try!
With our Spicy Everything Bagel Seasoning, you can give your taste buds a real kick! With the addition of red pepper flakes, a simple, tasty flavor gains the ‘Wow’ element of heat. Use a pinch or a heaping tablespoon… the level of kick is entirely up to you!
What can you use in place of red pepper flakes?
Cayenne pepper may be used instead. Use 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper for every 3/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes. The reason for this is because cayenne pepper contains smaller granules and has a stronger overall flavor than red pepper flakes.
Except for the bagel seasoning, what is everything?
Everything BUT the bagel seasoning is the name of this seasoning, which can be found in the spice section of most supermarkets. Sesame seeds, both white and black, poppy seeds, sea salt flakes, dried garlic, and dried onions make up the mix. If you’re stuck with a plain bagel, the most frequent usage is to season your cream cheese. It’s great on avocado toast, almond butter toast, cauliflower rice, poultry, salads, and just about anything else!

Combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Instructions
- In a mixing dish, combine all of the ingredients.
- To mix, stir everything together.
- Serve! Store for up to 6 months in an airtight container!
