I grew up in a household that ate meat and potatoes. My father was not a huge fan of veggies, but he did like a nice steak. When I was younger, I wasn’t a big lover of red meat and always had a bag of spinach on available whenever we had steak for supper.

In retrospect, I now believe I was insane when I was younger. Steak has become one of my favorite meals, and I had a lot of fun coming up with a London Broil dish since it’s a cheap cut that’s simple to marinade. This recipe for Garlic Baked in the Oven London Broil with Rosemary was delicious!

For a london broil, there are a variety of marinades to choose from. I used a garlic rosemary rub in this dish. I also like using balsamic marinades, Asian marinades, and spicy marinades. The majority of marinades are made up of a mixture of oil, vinegar, and spices.

Place the meat in a sealed container, such as a ziploc bag or Tupperware, to marinate. Place all of the marination in the container with the meat and make sure it’s well covered. Allow for a marinating period of up to 24 hours.

This cut of beef is less expensive than more expensive steak cuts like ribeye or sirloin. I typically stock up and purchase one to store in the freezer whenever it’s on sale.

  • Top Round Steak, 3 Pounds
