I love mint! It’s refreshing, cool, and adds a pleasant flavor to foods. I also love chocolate, but the combination of the two is not my favorite. When my mom made a mint chocolate chip ice cream cake for me a couple years ago, I knew I had to have it in my life. When I realized how easy it was to make, I could not believe I had not been making my own mint ice cream cake.

On the bright side, drinking water can keep you hydrated, which is great for your skin and hair. You can drink water as often as you want, but you should still try to stay hydrated, even when drinking just water. Concentrate on drinking water from either a glass or a bottle. Bottled water is better because it is cold and refreshing. Glass water bottles are not as clean as bottles with caps, which can be both expensive and hard to find. Water bottles are also an option, but they can be left unattended and flimsy.

There are as many different types of eating disorders as there are people with eating disorders. Often, however, eating disorders are mistaken for other conditions such as anorexia, bulimia, or binge eating disorder. It is important to note that all of these disorders have the same symptoms; however, they are different disorders in the body. Bulimia nervosa (BN) is characterized by episodes of binge eating followed by a period of purging (such as vomiting, taking laxatives or enemas, fasting, and excessive exercise). Identification

Spearmint has bright green leaves that are flat and somewhat jagged, and a sturdy stem.

Smell a herb if you’re not sure whether it’s mint. It’ll have a distinct menthol smell to it. When contrasted to peppermint, spearmint is often milder and sweeter. (Menthol is present in peppermint, but not in spearmint.)

Look for leaves that are brilliant green and free of blemishes. As the leaves decompose, they will become black.

Fresh bunches of herbs with the roots attached are the freshest if you can locate them. Packaged herbs, on the other hand, will suffice.

Storage

Freshly cut herbs should be used within a few days after purchase.

Place stems in a glass of water, cover loosely with a plastic bag, and store in the fridge if you want the herbs to last longer. Every few days, change the water. Using this technique, the plant should be able to last for up to a week.

(Better better, try growing mint in your yard or in a window pot in your kitchen.) Mint grows quickly and may intrude on other plants if not trimmed back frequently.)

Keep the stems intact while keeping mint and remove the leaves only when ready to use.

Consider freezing or drying your mint for extended preservation. To freeze the herbs, coarsely chop them, pour them into ice cube trays, cover with water, and freeze. To dry the leaves, place them on parchment paper on a baking sheet and bake for 15–30 minutes at 170 degrees Fahrenheit.

Preparation

Mint may be used in both savory and sweet dishes. Lamb with mint sauce and chocolate-mint desserts, for example, are two traditional combinations.

Spearmint is best used in savory dishes, while peppermint’s strong menthol taste makes it more suited for sweets.

Simply pinch the leaves at their base and take them off the plant to use mint. Depending on the texture and flavor you want, you may use the leaves whole, rip them, or cut them finely. Prepare the leaves immediately before using them since they will begin to wilt once they are taken from the plant. Handle the leaves as softly as possible; harsh handling may lead to damage.

Fresh mint may be used in salads, salad dressings, sauces, and salsas. Mint may also be used to flavor beverages like smoothies, cocktails, and juices. Mint also works well as a garnish: toss a few leaves into your meal for a healthy burst of flavor.

Time to Prepare: 20 minutes 15 minutes to prepare 2 salads (about)

Directions for Dressing:

In a mixing basin, whisk together all of the ingredients until smooth.

 

Salad Preparation:

In a large mixing basin, combine all salad ingredients. After that, pour salad dressing over the veggies and toss to cover.

Serve in separate bowls with your choice of protein on top.
