To create melted sliders, we start with a batch of these easy keto sweet rolls, then add ham and Swiss cheese. The baked butter and poppy seed mustard coating, which is beautifully caramelized and adds additional flavor, is my favorite portion.
Preparation tips for hippy recipes:
-
- I prefer to use deli ham and Swiss cheese, but provolone cheese is also a good option. You may use whatever meat and cheese combination you like, but if you use ham, make sure it’s free of honey or sugar.
- I felt that applying the butter and poppy seed filling using a silicone brush was simpler, but you can easily improvise with a spoon and spread it over the top.

A successful snack is little sliders filled with ham and cheese and coated with a buttery mustard sauce.
For sweet rolls, combine the following ingredients.
- mozzarella cheese, 1 1/2 cup
- cream cheese, 2 oz.
- 1 pound of flour
- coconut flour (two tablespoons)
- 1 teaspoon powdered baking soda
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons sweetener (monk fruit)
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1 beaten egg white (for washing the egg)
For the slides:
- 3 tblsp. butter, melted
- a couple of tablespoons Mustard dijon
- 1 teaspoon amino acid liquid
- poppy seeds, 2 tblsp
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion, dry
- 10 thin deli ham slices (about 4 ounces)
- 5 Swiss cheese slices
1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Set aside a 9-inch round cake pan that has been greased to avoid sticking.
2
In a large microwaveable bowl, combine the mozzarella and cream cheese. Microwave on high for 30 seconds at a time until the cheese has fully melted.
3
Mix in the almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, parmesan, and sugar after the cheese has melted. Then whisk in the eggs and melted butter until everything is well mixed.
4
Roll the dough into ten 2cm balls and put them on the prepared baking pan, allowing enough space between them to prevent them from touching.
5
Brush the egg mixture over the buns and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove the dish from the oven and put it aside.
6
In a small dish, combine the oil, mustard, amino acids, poppy seeds, and chopped dried onion. Remove it from the equation.
7
Remove the tops from all of the buns and put them aside. Place a ham slice on each roll. Each cheese slice should be cut in half and folded over the ham on each sandwich. All roll fasteners should be reinstalled.
8
Apply the mustard oil mixture over the top and sides of each roll using a kitchen brush. Return them to the oven for 15 minutes more, or until the cheese has melted. Take advantage of the warmth.
