Caramel Apple Cake Mix Cookies are a quick and easy dessert that everyone loves.

The CARAMEL APPLE CAKE MIX COOKIES are a delicious, easy to make treat. They are made out of cake mix and have the perfect amount of caramel in them. Read more in detail here: cookies made out of cake mix.

Cookies made using Caramel Apple Cake Mix are prepared using a cake mix, diced apples, and Rolo candies for a delectable taste combination that takes just a few minutes to prepare. Cake mix cookies are very easy to prepare, and these ones have a wonderful caramel apple flavor!

Cake Mix Cookies are simple to prepare since all of the fundamental components (sugar, wheat, etc.) are already included in the cake mix, requiring just a few more ingredients. Brown sugar is added to these cookies, which gives them the right flavor to make them taste like you baked them from scratch! Who doesn’t like Rolos? Although the original recipe called for dried apples, I like to use fresh apples — the decision is entirely yours!

Caramel and chocolate go along so beautifully; if you like that flavor combination, you should try our Caramel Chocolate Chip cookies! Or try our Chocolate Caramel Cake Mix cookies, which also include Rolos!

Cake mix cookies are what they sound like.

Cookies prepared using a box of cake mix as the basic component are known as cake mix cookies. Because many of the dry components in cookies are also included in boxed cake mixes, you typically only need to add a few more basic ingredients to create soft and chewy cookies! One of the things I like about cake mix cookies is how simple it is to alter up the flavors simply by switching up the cake mix. For example, this recipe for Caramel Apple Cake Mix Cookies calls for yellow cake mix, but the results would be as wonderful if you used white cake mix, spice cake mix, or even chocolate cake mix instead.

Here are a few pointers for creating the finest Cake Mix Cookies:

  • Make sure the butter is softened rather than melted. One of the most frequent cookie-making mistakes is using butter that is either very cold and hard, or too warm and melted. Simply put butter out on the counter for 1-2 hours before preparing your cookies if you have time. If you’re like me and don’t plan your cookie desires that far ahead, simply pop the butter in the microwave for 5 seconds at a time, pulling it out quickly before it melts. I really like to soften butter in my microwave on the defrost setting—I’m not sure why, but it seems to soften the butter more uniformly and takes a little longer, so I’m less inclined to start melting it!
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. This will ensure that your cookies are perfect every time!
  • Make use of a cookie scoop! A cookie scoop is the way to go if you want all of your cookies to be precisely formed and the same size.
  • Use parchment paper or a silicone baking surface to prevent sticking. This will make removing the cookies from the cookie sheet a breeze, as you won’t have to scrape them off the pan – they’ll simply glide right off in great form!
  • Don’t overbake the cookies – mine appear slightly underbaked when I take them out of the oven, but that’s OK since they’ll continue to bake on the cookie sheet for a few more minutes.

What are the ingredients for Caramel Apple Cake Mix Cookies?

  • 2-3 pkgs (1.7 oz) Unwrapped and quartered Rolo candies
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix (18.25 oz.)
  • 1/2 cup softened butter (at room temperature)
  • a quarter cup of light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon extract de vanille
  • 1 peeled apple, cut into tiny bits

What’s the best way to create Caramel Apple Cake Mix Cookies?

  1. To keep the Rolos from sticking together, stir them with 2 tablespoons of the cake mix in a small dish.
  2. Combine the remaining cake mix, butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer. Fold in the diced apples and Rolos until all of the ingredients are well mixed.
  3. Drop teaspoons of dough onto a prepared cookie sheet using a cookie scoop. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake for 11-13 minutes, or until the middle is just just set. Enjoy!

When making Caramel Apple Cake Mix Cookies, what type of apples do you use?

The Honeycrisp apple is my personal favorite for baking (and eating!). These apples are very crisp, and they hold up nicely in the oven. Honeycrisp apples may be pricey at times, but Fuji apples work just as well and are a wonderful substitute. Simply avoid using a soft apple (such as Red Delicious) since the taste isn’t as intense and the softer apples tend to get mushier when cooked. These cookies may also be made with dried apple bits, but I much like fresh apples!

Is it possible to freeze cake mix cookies?

Yes, cake mix cookies can be frozen. The cooked cookies may be frozen by allowing them to cool fully before wrapping them in plastic and putting them in a Ziplock bag in the freezer. I like to freeze cookie dough in ready-to-bake balls so that I may enjoy my cookies “freshly baked” when I’m ready to make them. To do this, you’ll need to:

  1. Make balls out of the cookie batter (cake mix cookies tend to be a little sticky in dough form so you may want to chill the dough for about an hour to make this step easier).
  2. Set the cookie dough balls on wax paper on a cookie sheet and place in the freezer for approximately an hour, or until they are completely frozen.
  3. Place all of the frozen cookie dough balls in a Ziploc bag or other freezer-safe container. Return them to the freezer until you’re ready to bake them.
  4. When you’re done, space the cookie dough balls 2 inches apart on a prepared baking sheet. I prefer to defrost the balls for approximately 10-15 minutes before baking them according to the package directions. Enjoy!

Snakes terrify me, but for some reason, that fear has not been passed on to my children! We must have just had a batch/herd/litter? of snakes placed in our yard, since we seldom saw them here before, but now they’re everywhere! They’re just little, but they’re all over the place, and my kids are having a blast. When they walk outdoors, they keep discovering more, and they have spent hours playing with them. I appreciate the free entertainment, but come on. What’s the matter with my kids?!?
