If you’re looking for a healthy treat, try a bacon cheeseburger from a local restaurant. Or, better yet, make one for yourself! But these days, making such a burger at home can be a time-consuming process. You need a meat grinder, a healthy fat, a protein, and sometimes a bit of seasoning. To make things easier, the folks at Built Bar have come up with a burger kit that simplifies this process.
There are a few diets out there that say you only need to eat a certain number of calories per day, and they will tell you which foods to eat in order to achieve these numbers. You may have seen the phrase, “Calories in, calories out”, but what does that really mean? Calories are units of energy, and the human body is made up of a variety of components, which involve energy expenditure.
It is hard to ignore the ketogenic diet. Even though most people do not want to hear about it, it is a diet that is in more demand than ever. Popular celebrities, athletes, and even political figures have been talking about how good it is for them. While many of these dieters are talking about it, most are not. Why is that? It is because being on the ketogenic diet can be hard. It is one of the hardest diets to stick to for long periods of time.
Whether you’re attempting to stick to a keto diet, there’s one clear requirement: you need to know if the food you’re eating is, well, ketonic.
Although it may seem straightforward at first sight, the seas of packaged goods may be muddy, particularly when it comes to groceries and snacks.
That’s why we decided to create a Built Bar test report. We had to find out whether they were ketonic since they’re a low-carb favorite.
Are ketonic bars really ketonic?
Because keto has become a popular diet in recent years, it’s difficult to know if low-protein, low-carb snacks with keto on the label are genuine.
Built Bar is one of them, and whether it is really ketonic has been a point of contention on the internet.

Components in composite bars
Built Bar has a short ingredient list (which is a good indication) and many of the components you’d want in a healthy protein bar:
- Combination of proteins (whey protein isolate, partially hydrolysed whey protein isolate).
- Water
- chocolate (dark) (sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, milk fat, soy lecithin, vanilla)
- Maltodextrin is a starch that is resistant to digestion.
- Glycerine
- Erythritol
- Cocoa
- Gelatin
- The scent is natural.
- Citric acid is a kind of acid that is used to
Whey protein isolate and partly hydrolyzed whey protein isolate are the initial components, and they are two of the finest healthy protein choices in terms of digestion and purity.
It also includes lipids like cocoa butter and erythritol, one of the most neutral artificial sweeteners. It’s one of the few sugar alcohols in the keto diet that doesn’t spike blood sugar levels. It’s a sugar-free candy!
These are all fantastic advantages, and according to the ingredient list, Built Bars are technically keto since they are minimal in carbohydrates and sugar.
The only thing we need be cautious about is maltodextrin, which we’ll discuss later.
Built-in Power Supply for the Bar
The nutritional composition of each Built bar varies depending on the flavor you choose.
All other varieties have 130 calories, but the Coconut Almond and Peanut Butter Brownies have 180 calories apiece.
Do you have a hard time losing weight? You may choose from a variety of tastes that are just 130 calories each. Do you want something a little more substantial to eat? A peanut brownie or a coconut and almond brownie has 180 calories.
Unfortunately, 160-calorie bars are no longer available. They tweaked the formula for each taste, resulting in calorie counts that are either little lower or somewhat higher than 160.
Depending on the taste, each bar includes around 4-6 g of pure carbs. The roughly 6 g of dietary fibre per bar allows for this. Keep in mind that 6 grams of fiber are not included as pure carbohydrates on the keto diet. Sugar alcohols also aid in the reduction of net carbohydrates.
Built Bars are a protein bar, thus they have a good quantity of protein (17-19g per serving). Many protein bars, on the other hand, contain approximately 15 grams of protein. Built Bars are also gluten-free!
Compared to ordinary protein bars, prepared bars are more convenient.
Built Bar compares the macronutrient ratios of its bars against those of other bars on its website. You can see how they are linked here:
Built bars, as you can see, have less calories and sugar than other popular protein bars. They do, however, contain less fat.
They make up for what they lose in fat with protein. This isn’t necessarily the best fat-to-protein ratio for a keto bar (the usual rule is to strive for a greater ratio), but it’s also not completely harmful.
What is the greatest fragrance for a built-in bar: peanut butter brownies or chocolate brownies?
It wouldn’t be a true Built Bar analysis without a discussion on flavor! And if you’ve ever had such confections, you’ll know that they don’t taste natural (in the candy sense).
We adore caramel, and the salted caramel bar was one of the finest tastes, in our view. In fact, this is exactly what we intended to do.
The mint brownie was also very tasty; who doesn’t like mint and chocolate together?
The chocolate cookies (particularly the double chocolate) and the peanut butter cream cookies were both tasty and authentic.
On the other hand, the fruit tastes had a harsher, more artificial flavor that we didn’t care for. If you have a sweet taste, though, you may like the fruity flavors.
We suggest purchasing a mixed pack to discover your favorite – but don’t forget to try the salted caramel and chocolate tastes!
The following is a complete list of integrated bar flavors:
- Caramel with salt
- Almonds and coconut
- Chocolate twice as good (also known as double chocolate mousse)
- Cake with mint flavor
- Raspberry
- Cake with peanut butter
- Coconut
- Biscuits with cream
- Barcia cherry
Built Bar has also improved the taste and texture of several of these varieties by changing the formula.
Flavors from freshly constructed bars
Built Bar has released a number of new perfumes in recent years, but they are difficult to locate online, even on the company’s own website. These are some of them:
- Cake with caramel sauce
- Cake made with carrots and almonds
- Caramel with almonds is a delicious dessert.
- Bread made with bananas
- Chocolate cake from Germany
- Crisp with apples and almonds
- Cheesecake with lemon and almonds
- Chocolate mango ice cream
Have you tried any of the new Built Bar tastes yet? Please let us know if you come across any, particularly the almond caramel, German chocolate cake, or carrot cake!
But, to be honest, we passed on the chocolate mango cream.
Casting framework that is integrated
Built Bars are for you if you’re searching for a dark chocolate protein bar that not only tastes like candy but also feels like candy.
They have a texture that is a cross between marshmallow and sticky toffee. This is a huge improvement over the previous texture, which tasted like a chewy nougat bar!
Personally, we like the built bar’s new texture.
Is it possible to buy recessed beams at a store?
These bars are now only available online, on the company’s website as well as on Amazon and Walmart. Individual bars, a box of each flavor, or a mixed box with a variety of tastes are available.
When searching for keto bars, there are a few things to keep in mind.
Keep this list of ideas in mind if you’re thinking about opening a bar and aren’t sure what to look for.
Artificial sweeteners and pure carbs
If you’ve been on the keto diet for any length of time, you’re familiar with the term “net carbs”: To obtain the real number of carbohydrates in your bar, subtract the fiber from the total carbs. This quantity should be added to your total daily carbohydrate consumption in a fair amount.
Also, pay attention to the sugar content and added sugars, since the total quantity of added sugars should not exceed 5-6 grams.
Also, avoid snacks that contain artificial sweeteners. Sucralose has been related to the development of diabetes in certain studies and has been found to raise insulin levels.
Erythritol and stevia are the best artificial or sugar-free sweeteners, since they do not produce the same insulin reaction as sucralose, according to studies.
Ratio of fat to protein
Built Bars feature a high protein to fat ratio, as we’ve previously observed. A normal keto diet favors the inverse: a greater fat-to-protein ratio.
To generate ketones on a keto diet, your body utilizes fat as its primary energy source. You may not receive the quantity of calories you need to operate effectively throughout the day if you don’t eat enough, which may lead to tiredness or poor performance.
Additives
It’s natural to believe that an addition (such as a preservative or thickening) would not induce a glycemic response and will not contain carbs. This isn’t always the case, however!
Maltodextrin, one of the most common ingredients in building bars and processed meals, has a glycemic index that is comparable to rice and maize, according to research.
Before you get too worked up, remember that additives like maltodextrin are typically included last on the ingredients list. This indicates that this component is in the product in less amounts than the major constituents.
It’s important to understand that not all supplements have the same glucose reaction, and some medical sources advise against using maltodextrin because of its blood sugar effects.
Be aware of this potential danger and, if feasible, choose bars that have the least amount of pure sugar. You may be certain that if it includes maltodextrin, it will not knock you out of ketosis.
Ingredients that are both pure and healthy
If you’ve been purchasing protein bars for a while, you’ve undoubtedly noticed that many of them include chemicals that are difficult to pronounce.
While protein bars are technically keto, choosing more natural and healthful ingredients prevents blood sugar spikes (like maltodextrin) and provides more nutrients.
In your protein bar, look for natural oils like coconut oil and MCT oil, as well as natural fats like nut butters, walnuts, and chia seeds, as well as pure proteins like whey.
Are all of these integrated rotary cross feedbacks accurate? Finally, our ideas
In summary, they are technically ketonic, according to the nutritional facts. We were worried, though, by the fake flavor and texture.
Built bars are low in sugar, carbohydrates, and protein, yet they taste just like a genuine chocolate bar. Is this tasty protein bar, however, one of the finest protein bars for keto dieters to use on a regular basis? Perhaps – or perhaps not.
Many healthy protein bars with a lower fat level than Built Bar exist, but their calorie count may be somewhat greater. We’ve evaluated a number of protein bars, which you can see listed below.
They were good, but they looked too much like a chocolate bar to have around the home, much alone eat every day.
The taste and tempting texture of a chocolate bar may prevent you from devouring the whole box, particularly if it includes flavors like peanut butter, salted caramel, or chocolate.
And if you’ve been on a keto diet for a long, you’re probably aware that eating too much fiber or sugar alcohols all at once may be terrible for your stomach.
Many individuals, however, love the flavor and consider them a nice treat to indulge in when they’re craving something sweet.
