In this article, we’ll demonstrate how to make your own Italian sausage at home using fresh ingredients. It is easy to prepare, tastes great, and is extremely versatile.

Italian sausage is one of life’s greatest pleasures. There’s just something about it that makes you crave it. For me, this has to do with the memories it conjures up of my Italian grandmothers, who made the best sausage I’ve ever tasted. Every time I make it, it reminds me of her face smiling at me, and I smile back.

Italian sausage is a popular choice for many people, but, once the sausage is cooked, there is very little left to eat. To make the life of the cook easier, the sausage is often sliced before being cooked, and, since it is cut up, it is more easily eaten as a snack. This article will describe how to make sausage in the traditional way, in which the sausages are ground with a traditional meat grinder and mixed with spices.. Homemade Italian Sausage recipe

Homemade Italian sausage is quick and simple to prepare, but it’s rich in calories. Ground pork, Spaghetti seasoning, fresh chopped Italian parsley, toasted funnel seeds, and other ingredients are used in this Khmer dish. Rather than lunch, this delectable Cambodian dish is usually served for breakfast.

Ingredients

3 pounds of 25 percent fat ground pork
1 tsp spice for spaghetti (this is from Costco)
1 tsp seasoning (Italian)
2 tbsp Italian parsley, freshly chopped
3 tsp red wine vinegar or dry red wine
1 tbsp. salt
1 teaspoon (optional if you like sweet sausages)
1 tsp paprika + 1 1/2 tsp paprika
1 1/2 teaspoon funnel seeds, roasted (it is best if you crush it in a mortar and pestle)
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp anise powder
3 tsp garlic, minced
1 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
1 tblsp crushed chilies (optional for spicy sausages)
apple juice, 1 cup

Making Homemade Italian Sausage: Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Sprinkle all of the spices equally over the ground pork, then mix everything together with your hands until everything is thoroughly combined.
  2. Before filling, thoroughly wash and clean the case.
  3. Stuffing your sausages using the Kitchen Aid
  4. Note: You may also sauté green bell pepper and onion; the flavor will be somewhat different, but I prefer it.
  5. 1 green bell pepper and 1 onion, chopped
  6. 3 tbsp olive oil, heated in a skillet over medium heat
  7. Soften the bell pepper and onion in a skillet.
  8. Add to the meat mixture and thoroughly combine with your hands.
  9. The mixture should then be stuffed into the casing.

Before putting my sausage in the freezer or refrigerator, I fan dry it first. This recipe yields about 15 large or 20 mini sausages.

Note: You don’t have to put the sausage into casings; you may use it as ground sausages with my homemade Marinara pasta sauce over any kind of pasta.

Thank you, and good luck with your first attempt at making Homemade Italian Sausage.
