Pork chops are one of my favorite things to eat, but I’ve never made them at home. I’m sure they’re easy enough to make, but I’ve never been brave enough to try it. Then I met Chris at the gym, and he said one of the things he loves to eat is pork chops. I went home and tried to figure out how I could make pork chops at home without any experience.  So I went online and found a few recipes where I was able to find out how to do it.  I’ve made pork chops at home ever since and now they are one of my favorite meals.

I had never heard of 4-hour pork chops until today. This is a new cut of pork, and it tastes better than I thought it would. I made pork chops for dinner, which is the only meal in my house that my wife is allowed to cook. She knows I hate overcooked pork chops, so she asked me to go shopping for a new cut of pork on my lunch break. I ended up buying a 4-hour pork chop, and I realized that the 4-hour cut was a little too big for my normal skillet. Is it necessary to cover the pork chops during baking?

To keep food from burning or drying out, aluminum foil is frequently used to cover plates in the oven. Foil isn’t required for this specific meal. You may cover the chops if you like, but cooking them uncovered results in a luscious, moist chop with no complaints!

When cooking pork chops, what temperature should they be cooked at?

145°F is the sweet spot of soft, juicy pig perfection, whether you’re grilling bone-in loin chops or roasting pork tenderloin in the oven. All pieces of pork should be cooked at this temperature (excluding ground pork, which should be cooked to 160°F).

How long should bone-in pork chops be cooked in the oven?

The simplest way is to bake your pork chops in a shallow, uncovered roasting pan at 350 degrees F. Bone-in pork chops will take approximately 20 minutes per pound to cook using this technique, whereas boneless pork chops would take about 23 minutes per pound. We use pretty thin slices for this meal, so it takes us approximately 25 minutes to prepare.

What changes should you make for your diet?

Do you want to make this recipe dairy-free? This caesar dressing comes highly recommended! This is a favorite of Ashley’s. Because it is more expensive, she usually saves it for herself and offers the Kraft to the rest of the family. Simply omit the parmesan cheese or substitute one of the many excellent dairy-free cheese alternatives!

3 ingredient baked pork chops: how to make and cook

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Take your fresh pork chops and rinse them in cold water before patting them dry. If required, remove any extra fat.

In a 9X13 baking dish, spread a thin layer of caesar dressing.

Take your pork chops and liberally cover them in the dressing on both sides.

In a 9X13 baking dish, place the breaded pork chops.

Parmesan cheese should be liberally sprinkled on top.

Bake for 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145 degrees F.

Serve right away!

This meal is a nice change of pace from chicken or beef every night. In the end, they’re very easy to create. Did I mention that just takes three minutes from start to finish? Last but not least, they’re a hit with our kids! It’ll be a win-win situation for moms.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pork chops, thinly sliced (approx 6-8 pork chops)
  • 1.5 cup caesar dressing (creamy)
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. If required, remove any extra fat.
  3. Cover the bottom of a 9X13 baking dish with a thin coating of caesar dressing.
  4. Dredge pork chops in remaining dressing in a separate dish until both sides are covered.
  5. In a baking dish, arrange the pork chops in a single layer.
  6. Top the pork chops with parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F.
  8. Remove the dish from the oven and serve.
