I’ve always been a bit of a snob when it comes to food. I am not a picky eater by any means, but I like my food to taste good. When it comes to tacos I like them to be crispy, flavorful and not at all soggy. This has lead me to Chick Fil A Tacos. These bad boys are very tasty. They have a great crunch and a good flavor for a fast food meal. They are filled with meat and vegetables so there are no leftovers. They come in a variety of flavors and are always fresh. They are a great choice for a quick meal or when you are on the go. They are a great option when you want a good meal, but don’t have the
THIS IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE PRODUCT WE’VE EVER MADE AT! These Chick Fil A Tacos are out of this world! With just 6 ingredients (three from the drive-thru and three from the cupboard), you can create the BEST DINNER EVER!!!
The kids and I had planned a road trip from Florida to North Carolina for spring break. Truett’s Luau, or “Hawaiian Chick Fil A,” as we like to call it, was one of the visits we were all most looking forward to! Unfortunately, our plans were unexpectedly canceled, and we found ourselves spending every day at home! My buddy and I were searching for a way to spice things up a little and offer the kids a fun spin on Chick Fil A…and so these incredible tacos were created!
Is Chick-fil-A serving tacos?
Truett’s Luau is the only place where you can get Chick Fil A tacos right now. Fish, pig, beef, and chicken tacos are available. These tacos were the source of inspiration for our Chick Fil A Tacos.
What exactly is a Chick Fil A Luau?
Truett’s Luau is a Hawaiian-themed Chick Fil A in Fayetteville, GA. This restaurant offers the same traditional Chick Fil A menu items as other Chick Fil A locations, as well as a variety of Hawaiian and tropical themed options.
Our Chick Fil A Tacos’ ingredients
- Nuggets of chicken
- Salad de Kale
- Sauce from Polynesia
- Onion
- Cheese Mozzarella
- Tortillas made with flour
To create our Chick Fil A Tacos, follow these steps:
To begin, dice the onion on a chopping board.
Cook until the sugars have caramelized. Cooking these onions takes approximately 10 minutes. The onions should be golden brown in color, and the more caramelized they are, the better! Set aside after the onions are completely cooked.
Set aside the chopped chicken nuggets. Each nugget is usually split into 6 pieces. Although this step may seem little, trust me when I say it makes a huge impact! It’s the fact that you can taste each ingredient in every mouthful that makes these tacos so delicious!
Heat tortillas in a medium pan over medium low heat for approximately 30 seconds on each side with about a teaspoon of oil or butter, flipping halfway through. The purpose of this step is to reheat and toast the tortilla somewhat.
Sprinkle approximately a spoonful of cheddar on each tortilla before assembling the tacos. Because the heat from the chicken and onions may somewhat melt the cheese, it’s better to put it on the bottom!
Place a scoop of chopped chicken, 1 tablespoon of onion, and approximately 1/3 of a kale salad in the center of the plate.
Drizzle some polynesian over the top. Serve right away and enjoy! Refrigerate leftovers (if there are any!!) in separate containers for up to one week.
This recipe has been a hit with everyone we’ve shared it with! As if Chick Fil A wasn’t already delectable enough, these tacos take it to new heights. When you tell them where half of the food originated from, even fussy eaters can’t say no! You’ll thank me later if you give them a go!!

Notes
Per taco, use approximately 2-3 nuggets. Make sure the nuggets are chopped! Evenly distributing the contents throughout the tortilla makes a significant impact in the taco’s flavor.
About 3 tacos should be made from each side of kale salad.

My family loves Chick Fil A, as it is one of the few fast-food joints that offer a good variety of vegetarian options. The problem is that the vegetarian options aren’t especially good-tasting or filling. The veggie burger is dry and flavorless, the veggie nuggets are salty and greasy, and the veggie breakfast wrap is also a bit bland. So, I decided to put some Key Lime Pie filling in the veggie burger and let it marinate for several hours. That changed everything! The veggie burger now has a taste and texture that is a lot closer to the real thing, and it is far more filling than the vegetable version..
