Ham and Cheese Crescents

Cheese is a gooey, delicious, nutritious food, but the dairy mayonnaise we use on sandwiches is not the best option. Instead, try a savory, salty, and crispy ham and cheese crescent roll that is delicious and may help you eat less.

This recipe is inspired by the “Sicilian-Style Mini Crescents” found in the classic cookbook “Good to the Grain”. The crispy edges of the crescent roll make a great crunchy topping for these ham and cheese crescents.

Everyone has a different personal preference when it comes to making sandwiches, but there are a few things most people agree on: cheese and bread are always welcome, and ham is essential. However in my experience, ham is something of a double-edged sword, and many ham sandwiches are doomed before they even begin. Ham can taste wonderful, but it can also be overpowering to the point of being sickening.

3 easy ingredients, done in less than 15 minutes, and amazing! These Ham and Cheese Crescents are the ideal supper or lunch for your kids on a hectic evening! The ideal simple dinner is made with buttery crescent rolls, gooey cheese, and sweet honey ham!

Ham-and-Cheese-Crescents

The majority of weeknights are consumed with soccer practice, cross country meets, church, and a variety of school-related activities. This makes it difficult to get supper on the table, and it’s almost impossible to dine as a family! As a means to actually “grab and go” with supper, I began cooking these wonderful hot ham and cheese buns! They’re convenient to eat in the vehicle, full, and tasty. On weekends, my daughter loves to make them for an afternoon snack.

Do I have to use ham in these?

Certainly not! We prepare them with turkey or even deli sliced chicken on occasion. The same may be said of the cheese. Sliced is ideal, but shredded or grated cheese also works well. It’s usually whatever we have in the deli drawer in our fridge at the time.

What would be a nice side dish to serve with this meal?

You may enjoy a variety of foods with these delectable sandwiches! Here are a few of our personal favorites:

Each triangle should include 1 slice of ham and 1 piece of cheese. Roll crescents according to the directions on the can. Begin rolling from the bigger, broader side of the triangle, keeping the ham and cheese on the inside of the crescent.

I’m usually drawn to meals that I know would bring a grin to my kids’ faces, and these certainly do the job! Add scrambled eggs to the ham and cheese before rolling up and cooking if you want to prepare these for breakfast. Breakfast on the move for the entire family!
