I’ve been asked by a good friend of mine, and personal trainer, to share my personal journey with her. I’ve been working with her since 2012, when I was looking for a way to lose the weight. I’ve tried every diet. I’ve tried every trainer. I’ve tried every medicine. Finally, I decided to try a holistic approach. I’ve designed my lifestyle and my day each day. I’ve created a routine that helps me to be the person I wanted to be. I’ve created an environment that helps me to be the person I wanted to be.
Whatever you do, it always begins with a decision. If you want to get fit, you must decide that you want to be fit. If you want to improve your diet, you must decide that you want to improve your diet. And if you want to lose weight, you must decide that you want to lose weight.
I never really was one to workout. I mean, who doesn’t love a good workout?! It’s something we all do in one way or another but… why do we hate it so much? When I say I hate working out, it’s not because I hate working out, it’s just because I was never really into it. It was also my experience that if I did try, it never worked out and it was something temporary. It didn’t last long and I always ended up going back to my old ways.. Phil Mickelson has always admired and respected golf’s rich heritage. In 2013, he regarded his one and only British Open victory as “perhaps the greatest triumph of my career.” With his greatest victory of his career came the most prestigious prize he’d ever held: the Claret Jug.
Open champions celebrate in a variety of ways, but Mickelson’s celebration was one of the most spectacular since his victory in 2013. For example, a $40,000 bottle of wine is epic.
In 2013, Phil Mickelson won his only British Open.
Mickelson has already won four major tournaments before the start of the 2013 PGA Tour season, including three Masters wins. But Lefty still lacked an Open Championship and a US Open victory to add to his already impressive résumé.
Mickelson finished the 2013 Muirfield Open five shots behind leader Lee Westwood in the final round. At the major championships, you don’t expect to make up that much distance in a single day, but that’s precisely what Mickelson did on Sunday.
He was within striking distance after a 2-under 34 on the front nine, and two straight birdies at the conclusion of the round took him to 5-under for the day and 3-under for the tournament. Mickelson put the remainder of the competition behind him and won by three shots for his maiden Open victory.
Mickelson toasted his victory by imbibing $40,000 worth of wine from the Claret Jug.

The champion of the British Open traditionally celebrates his triumph by drinking claret from a jug. The Centennial Cup has been used to drink champagne, beer, wine, and even cola throughout the years.
After a year as the owner of the Claret Pitcher, Mickelson maintained only the best for the most renowned trophy in golf.
In 2014, he told The Scotsman, “I enjoyed having the pitcher with me for the past 12 months.” People that know and love the game get the most out of it. They realized how special it was to have such a prestigious prize in their hands. And then there’s the drinking. Of course, I only let them drink the excellent stuff. There was nothing that was subpar. The finest, though, was a 1990 bottle of Romanee Conti wine. Thankfully, that wasn’t me. It costs about $40,000 to purchase.
Phil makes his way to Phil.
Lefty believes his Open win to be the most significant of his professional career.

Mickelson, a history buff, understands the significance of winning the Open Championship more than anybody. He couldn’t help but feel emotional when he won golf’s oldest major title in 2013.
It’s simply a day and a moment that I’ll remember for the rest of my life. After the round, Mickelson remarked, “This is a really unique moment and such a triumph in my career that I could never have anticipated.” This is, without a doubt, the most significant and challenging victory of my career. It’s fantastic to win an Open Championship at Muirfield.
Mickelson will remember this triumph for the rest of his life, even if he never wins the Open again.
IMPORTANT: Phil Mickelson can’t play a friendly round of golf without adding an additional par: You have no option but to play with Phil.
